Student life :
Student life at the Queen's University
In Queen's University, students can find most of the books they will need in the library. There are few public computers in the campus, but most of the students have they own laptop, which seems essential in the Queen's University. You can get a wireless connection to the Internet in the Goodes Hall where the lessons take place. Printing, Copying, sending fax, scanning, and making call are all free in the campus, there is a special room for these tasks where you can enter with a pass.
Sport
There are lots of sport activities you can do in the campus. Entering the sports complex is free if you show your student card. Inside, you can play lots of sports: basketball, squash, futsal, or swimming, fitness, bodybuilding...
Going out
Lots of students like to go out in the Queen's pub, a very famous bar in the heart of the campus. Most of the students' parties happen at their places. Students often organize keggers, that is to say all-you-can-drink parties with beer for 10CA$ or 15CA$. Anybody can join this kind of party, no need to be personally invited. When students only throw parties with their friends, they like to adopt the BYOB principle (short for "Bring Your Own Boose"), meaning that everybody has to bring the beverages he or she will drink.
