Student life in the Concordia University
Montreal is renowned for being the funniest city in the Canadian West coast. Student life in Montreal is very lively. There are lots of places to go out and spend good time in the evening. There are 3 main places: the Crescent street, near Concordia, where there are lots of Irish pubs and nightclubs. Canadian students like to go there. There are lots of popular places in the Saint-Laurent Boulevard. And the Plateau is a mainly French-speaking place where there are lots of pleasant bars.
If you want to go to a fashionable nightclub in Montreal, you can go to the Club Opéra, which is worth-going for its special parties, like the parties with famous DJ.
If you want brunches during the week-end, you can go at the Avenue. And chocolate lovers will love Juliette et Chocolat.
There are lots of activities you can do inside or outside the campus of the Concordia University thanks to the student associations. During the first week of the school year, the "Frosh Week" is organized. During this orientation week, the students can take part to lots of activitities in the campus like concerts or parties. There are activities organized every evening for the students. To have further information about these student activities, register yourself in the site of the CSU (Concordia Student Union). Bars / Nightclubs
The Brutopia (situated in Crescent Street, n°1215) is a pleasant bar near Concordia which brews its own beer and where there are lots of live concerts. On Tuesday night, there always are English-speaking students at the Café Campus (situated in Prince Arthur Est, n°57) because of the cheap beer and of the nostalgic style music. It is better to go there early since there always have lots of people there. Students also like to go to the Mesa 14 to taste their traditionnal margharitas. Aux 2 Pierrots is a bar/concert hall mostly French-speaking where you can spend evenings singing at the top of your voice. If you want to go to a fashionable nightclub in Montreal, you can go to the Club Opéra, which is worth-going for its special parties, like the parties with famous DJ.
